Arleen Lee

   Mary Arleen Lee, 58, of 521-B NC Highway 45 North, Merry Hill, NC, died Sunday, December 19, 2021 in her home where she was cared for by her family.

   Arleen was born in Bertie County on January 21, 1963, and was one of eleven children born to the late Robert Herman and Maude Barnes Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Durham; and by brothers, William Wesley, Roland, Herman, and Tony Lee.

   A longtime employee of Tar Heel Cotton Gin, she had more recently worked at Ann’s House of Nuts. She attended Open Door Church, both in Edenton and Windsor.

   Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer Lee, and grandson, Orion, both of the home; three sisters, Lorena Lee Garland (husband, Tommy) of Cabot, Arkansas, Sandra Lee Russell (husband, Robert) of Windsor, and Carlet Lee Durham (husband, Sammy) of Beaufort; two brothers, Robert Edward Lee of Merry Hill and Dewey Lee (wife, Karen) of Orlando, FL; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Lee of Merry Hill.

   In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned.
