April Alexandra Tapia

   April Alexandra Tapia, 24, of 214 Oak Ridge Drive, Edenton, NC, died Sunday, December 17, 2023 in her home.

   April was born on November 21, 1999 in Laredo, Texas and was baptized in faith at San Martin De Porres Catholic Cathedral. After moving to Edenton, she attended Lawrence Academy in Merry Hill. April danced from an early age until her senior year in school, and was a cheerleader and played softball at Lawrence. She loved animals and was kind to everyone.

   Surviving are her parents, Jennifer Riebeling Moskowitz and Dr. Samuel Lev Moskowitz, and her brother, Isaac Ben Moskowitz, all of Edenton; her maternal grandparents, Maria De La Ruiz and Alejandro Riebeling of Laredo; her paternal grandparents, Gayel Elizabeth Kaplan of Cypress, CA and Dr. Peter Moskowitz of Corona, CA; and many other extended family members and friends.

   Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 6, 2024 beginning at 12 noon in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. At 1:00 p.m. a Vigil for the Deceased will be conducted by Father Jairo A. Maldonado-Pacheco. Another service is planned in Laredo during the second week in January.
