Antje Pyroth Lowry

   Antje Pyroth Lowry, of 108 Navajo Trail, Hertford, NC, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on Monday, January 7, 2019.

   Mrs. Lowry was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 31, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Alfons and Laura Maria Franzica Brehm Pyroth. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she retired as an Industrial Hygiene Technician having been employed with the Department of Defense. An avid golfer, she also enjoyed woodworking, painting, gardening, and boating. 

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Peter Pyroth and wife, Friedel, Alfons Pyroth and wife, Marianna, and Claus Pyroth, and wife, Linde.

   Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Gary Lee Lowry; a son, Michael Arnold and wife, Joyce, of Hertford; a daughter, Rebecca Lowry Hammonds and husband, Rodney, of Henagar, AL; three sisters, Eva Braun of Bad Fussing, Germany, Barbara Toney and husband, Bill, of Hertford, and Jutta Lopez Perancho and husband, Tomas, of Bad Fussing, Germany; four grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Jason, and Kayla; and three great-grandchildren, Jaden, Nola, and Bonnie, and two soon to be born.

   A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 20, at 2:00 p.m. in Snug Harbor Community Church, 133 Fir Street, Hertford, and will be conducted by Pastor Bryant Perry. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
