Ann Taylor Williams

   Ann Taylor Williams, 55, of 545 Daniels Road, Corapeake, NC, died Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA.

   Ann was born in Suffolk on August 25, 1967 and was the daughter of the late Herbert Gay and Mary Elizabeth “Teenie” Hollowell Taylor.

   Employed as an analyst with the North Carolina Department of Human Services in their Social Services Division, she had formerly been employed with the Gates County Department of Social Services, working in the Gatesville office for many years. A member of Eureka Baptist Church, she more recently had attended The Way Church in Sunbury and had been a member of the former Corapeake Ruritan Club where she had served as the Treasurer.

   Surviving is her husband, Lindsey Ray Williams, Jr.; their children, Mary Kathryn Lethig of Suffolk and Bryan Taylor Williams of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Mary Taylor Evans of Durham and Judy Taylor Brown of Waxhaw; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth JoAnna and Taylor Mae Lethig.

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Eureka Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Joseph Buck and longtime friend, Carol Anne Hankinson. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, in the church social hall following the service on Monday, or all other times at the residence.
