Ann Parks Fredd

   Ann Killian Parks Fredd, 82, formerly of Richmond, VA, died Monday, April 8, 2024, in Edenton, NC.

   Mrs. Fredd was born in Gastonia, Gaston County, NC on December 14, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Harry Roberts Parks, Sr. and Evelyn Killian Parks.

   After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, she had a successful career in the banking industry and retired as a Vice President at Wachovia Bank. She was a member of Edenton United Methodist Church, an avid bridge player who enjoyed the company of her Monday and Thursday bridge groups, and was an ardent fan of the University of Richmond Spiders.

   Surviving is her husband of nearly 58 years, Allen William Fredd, Jr.; their daughters, Allyson Parks Fredd and Catherine Annette Broskie (husband, Shannon), both of Richmond, VA; her brother, Harry Roberts Parks, Jr. (wife, Sharon) of Sykesville, MD; two grandsons, Adam Tyler Broskie and Ryan Matthew Broskie; nephews Gary Roberts Parks and Philip Allen Kuras; and niece Leslie Kuras Garrett.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13th, at 11:00 a.m. in Edenton United Methodist Church and will be conducted by The Reverend Elizabeth Polk and The Reverend Danny Broskie. At a later time, she will be placed in the columbarium at Canon Memorial Chapel on the campus of the University of Richmond. Friends may visit with the family in the Family Life Center of the church immediately following the service.
