Angela Renee Rodgers

   Angela Renee Rodgers, 59, of 1107 NC Hwy 32 South, Hobbsville, NC, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 in her home.

   Miss Rodgers was born in Gates County on February 23, 1963, and was the daughter of the late Elisha and Venezuela Costen Rodgers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Laura Rodgers.

   A graduate of Elizabeth City State University, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant with Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation where she had been employed for many years. An active member of First Baptist Church of Gates where she served as an usher, she also enjoyed participating and volunteering her time with various other organizations in the community.

   Surviving are her six brothers, John Rodgers of Murfreesboro, Don Rodgers (Bonnie) of Fayetteville, Kenny Rodgers of Suffolk, VA, Elisha M. Rodgers of Raleigh, Ronald Rodgers (Gail) and Alan Rodgers (Edna), both of Gates; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, November 27, at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Gates, 80 Gates Bank Road, Gates.

   A graveside memorial and committal service will be held Tuesday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Costen Family Cemetery, Kellogg Fork Road, Gates.
