Allen Narron

   Leslie Allen Narron, 60, of 6570 Fairway Drive, Grifton, NC, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 in his home.

   Allen was born in Pasquotank County on January 22, 1963, and was the son of the late Leslie Lee and Sarah Louvinia Caddy Narron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, John Copeland. For the past 40 years, Allen had lived in the Grifton Group Home where he had formed many dear friendships. Among his many enjoyments, he always loved participating in Special Olympics.

   Surviving is his sister, Sarah Narron Copeland (husband, Arthur) of Hertford; a brother, Richard Lee Narron of Edenton; two nephews, David Copeland (wife, Allison) and Josh Copeland; a great-niece, Casey Copeland; and a great-nephew, Jacob Copeland.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Berea Church of Christ, 1664 New Hope Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by Minister Lee Modlin. A private burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and in the social hall of the church immediately following the service on Thursday.

   The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Grifton Group Home for the many years of dedication provided to Allen and caring for his needs.
