Allan Baker Payne

   Allan Baker Payne, 81, of Eure, NC, died Friday, January 14, 2022 in his home.

   Mr. Payne was born in Portsmouth, VA on July 23, 1940, and was the son of the late Major Edward and Virginia Baker Payne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Troy Payne.

   A retired building contractor and civil engineer where he worked in surveying with Ball & Hassell Surveyors, he formerly attended Portsmouth Pentecostal Holiness Church.

   Surviving is his wife, Shirley Whitford Payne.

   In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
