Alan Wade Lowe

   Alan Wade Lowe, 58, of 56 Lowe Road, Gatesville, NC, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in his home.

   Alan was born in Hertford County on April 5, 1961, and was the son of Harrell Randolph Lowe, Sr. of Gatesville and the late Myrna Johnson Lowe. A pipefitter with Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he was a member of Middle Swamp Baptist Church, the Gatesville Hunt Club, and Nixon’s Ditch Fishing Club.

   In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherl Wiley Lowe; two daughters, Crystal Lowe Ashley and husband, Grant, and Brittney Lowe Stevens and husband, Alex; two brothers, Ricky Lowe and Randy Lowe; and two granddaughters who loved their PaPa, Aubrey Mae Ashley and McKinley Jean Stevens, all of Gatesville.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in Middle Swamp Baptist Church and will be conducted by his pastor, The Rev. Burt Pearce. Friends may visit with the family in the fellowship hall immediately following the service, or all other times at the residence.
