Alan Harvey Chappell

   Alan Harvey Chappell, 63, of 1872 Belvidere Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 in his home.

Mr. Chappell was born in Chowan County on May 31, 1956, and was the son of the late Harvey Rountree and Virginia Mae King Chappell. An over-the-road truck driver, he was a member of Piney Woods Friends Meeting, and a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1847 in Elizabeth City.

   Surviving are his wife of nearly 16 years, Angela Pope Chappell; his children, Quintin Alan Chappell (Melissa) of Edenton, William Harvey Chappell (Vesna) of Pittsboro, Alex O'Neal Chappell (Samantha) of Sunbury, Riley Katherine "Katie" Chappell Paso and Rory Chappell, both of Kent City, MI, Anna Michelle Robertson and Michael Peter Robertson, Jr., both of Hertford, and Cala Renea Robertson of Belvidere; three sisters, Jennifer Leigh Lamm of Belvidere, Donna Nell Davis (Charles) of Tyner, and Nancy Harvina Maitland (Terry) of Belvidere; and ten grandchildren, Caleb, Chloe, Wesley, Everly, Atlie, Juliann, Jonah, Lorena, Keagan, and Oban.

   A memorial service will be held on his birthday, Sunday, May 31^st in Piney Woods Friends Meeting. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to any chapter of the American Cancer Society, or to the family to assist with medical and related expenses.
