Clara Story Blades Goin 73 of 781 Fire Tower Road Elizabeth City NC died Thursday April 12 2012 in her home. Mrs. Goin was born in Gates County and was the daughter of the late James W. Woody and Lessie Mae Harrell Blades. A homemaker she was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband Glenn A. Goin Jr.; four daughters Charlene Williams (David) of Mobile AL Belinda Eddins (Dave) of Chesapeake VA Janene Ray (James) of Irwin TN and Karen Balderson (Daniel) of Elizabeth City; two sons Chuck Davis (Kim) of Chesapeake and Brian Davis (Ginny) of Hughesville PA; a sister Margaret McNamara of Franklin VA; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Proctor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home 304 Main Street Gatesville handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
