Donald Willard Lindberg

Donald Willard Lindberg 87 of 302 Kimberly Drive Edenton NC died Thursday April 12 2012 in Vidant Medical Center Greenville NC. Mr. Lindberg was born in East Greenwich RI and was the son of the late Frank Arvid and Flora Amelia Rogers Lindberg. A former resident of Annandale VA he was a retired freight agent with Emery Air Freight National Airport in Washington DC with more than 30 years of employment. A Navy veteran of World War II he served in Europe the North African Theater and was in the Invasion of Normandy. He was a Lutheran by faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Ellsworth Lindberg and by his daughter-in-law Sandy Saunders Lindberg. Surviving are his wife of 65 years Doris Butler Lindberg; and his son Roger S. Lindberg of Woodbridge VA. A private graveside committal will be held at a later date in the Glenwood Cemetery in East Greenwich RI.
