Robert Arthur Behrends III

Robert Arthur Behrends III 71 of 36 Corner High Road died Friday April 6 2012 in his home. Mr. Behrends was born in East Orange NJ and was the son of the late Robert A. Behrends Jr. and Anna Louise Parker Lyon. A retired production manager from Kulite Tungsten Corp. in East Rutherford NJ he was a member of Eure Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons Stephen D. Behrends and David Sheppard; and a daughter-in-law Lisa Behrends. Surviving are his wife of 45 years Fay Behrends; two daughters Lorraine M. Johnson of Suffolk VA and Diane L. Behrends and fianc Steve Havel of Lake Hopatcong NJ; two sons John Behrends and wife Tonya of Conway NC and Robert A. Sheppard and wife Debra of Katy TX; nine grandchildren Christa Johnson Ashley Havel Steven Havel Jr. Sarah Sheppard Bobby Sheppard Dustin Harrell Tayla Behrends Harlee Behrends and Zackery Behrends; and a sister Pat Slasinski of Tuxedo NY. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Eure Baptist Church by The Rev. Dr. Wayne Proctor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home 304 Main Street Gatesville and other times at the residence.
