Lillie Mae Oliver Comer 77 of 203 Wake Ave. Edenton NC died Wednesday May 9 2012 in Vidant Chowan Hospital. Mrs. Comer was born in Washington County NC and was the daughter of the late Stanley Oliver and Kathleen Burgess White. A retired clerk and cashier from the Super 10 Department Store in Edenton she was a member of Countryside Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother Ruth Oliver her step-father Johnny White a brother Everett Oliver and a brother-in-law Landis Rose. Surviving are her husband of 59 years James Kenneth Jimmy Comer Sr.; two daughters Deborah Comer Bunch (Durwood) and Donna Comer Wheeler (Donald) all of Edenton; a son Kenneth Comer (Mary) of West Chester OH; eight sisters Linda Brooks (Bud) Alice Ann Meads (Frankie) Edith Comstock (Larry) Virginia Grimes (Wayne) Annette Rose Teressa Cooper (Doug) Angie Cahoon (Buddy) and Cindy Jones (Cecil); four brothers Stanley Oliver Jr. (Paula) Michael Oliver (Debbie) Glenn Oliver (Tonya) and Wilbur Ray White (Esther); a sister-in-law Juanita Oliver; nine grandchildren Shana Hale (Patrick) Jody Brandon and Brittany N. Bunch Casey Williams (William) Christopher Stallings and Vivian William and David Comer; and a great-grandson Kaleb. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory 735 Virginia Road Edenton by the Rev. Thomas Biggs. Burial will follow in Holly Neck Church of Christ Cemetery Roper. Friends may join the family Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at the residence.
