Ocia Lee Elliott Shively

Ocia Lee Elliott Shively 76 of 1375 Center Hill Highway died Tuesday March 27 2012 in Chesapeake General Hospital. Mrs. Shively was born in Perquimans County and was the daughter of the late Murray McMullan Elliott and Mary Edith Baker Elliott Lane. A homemaker she had been employed and retired from the Brian Center in Hertford. She was a member of Anderson United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Frederick Shively. Surviving are her four daughters Rena S. Eure and husband Robert of Hertford Terri S. Lore' and husband Mike of Ponte Vedra Beach FL Deana S. Jordan of Greenville and Bernadette Hopson and husband Shawn of South Mills; a brother Murray Mac Elliott and wife Rosa of Miami FL; eight grandchildren Christopher Joshua and Stephanie Eure J.D. Shively Dillan Byrd Amanda Henderson and Hunter and Riley Hopson; and two great-grandchildren Rowin Shively and Jason Henderson. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home 1125 Harvey Point Road Hertford by the Rev. Ray Tavenner. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the funeral home on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and all other times at the home of her daughter Rena Eure 416 Whitehat Road Hertford.
