Beretta Yeoman Goodwin

Beretta Yeoman Goodwin 72 of 105 Greenbriar Lane and formerly of Aberdeen Maryland died Friday March 9 2012 in her home. Born March 17 1939 in Newport News VA she was the daughter of Jean Fletcher Yeoman of Smithfield VA and the late Benjamin Wilson Yeoman Sr. A retired teacher and Elementary school principal she was a Methodist by faith. In addition to her mother surviving are her husband of 40 years Howard Paige Goodwin; two daughters Traci Goodwin Harris and Kara Goodwin Smith and husband Bobby all of Chesapeake VA; a son Stephen Banks of Washington State; a brother Wilson Yeoman and wife Patricia Herrmann Yeoman of Wilson NC; and two grandchildren Karlee Grace Smith of Chesapeake and Robert Eric Yarboro with the US Navy aboard the USS George H.W. Bush. A memorial service will be held Saturday March 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory 735 Virginia Road Edenton by the Rev. Bob Young. Burial will follow at a later time at the family plot at historic Benns Church in Smithfield VA. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
