Johnny Lee Copeland

Johnny Lee Copeland 70 of 317 Mexico Rd. Edenton NC died Wednesday May 16 2012 in Vidant Inpatient Hospice Greenville. Mr. Copeland was born in Chowan County NC and was the son of the late Nathan Richard and Minnie Jackson Copeland. Retired from NCDOT he had worked as a bridge attendant and with road maintenance and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons David Lee Copeland and Jeffrey Alan Copeland. Surviving are his wife Sarah Hollowell Copeland; a son Johnny Ray Copeland and wife Teresa of Tyner; a sister Lela Twine of Edenton; two brothers Ervin Copeland of Corapeake and Lenny Copeland of Edenton; and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday May 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory 735 Virginia Road Edenton by the Rev. Randy Browder. Friends may join the family in the funeral home on Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and all other times at the home of his granddaughter 715 Sandy Ridge Rd. Tyner.
