Joseph Eugene Fetherman, Sr.

Joseph Eugene Fetherman, Sr., 81, of 182 Stevenson Drive, Hertford, NC, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City. Mr. Fetherman was born in Monroe County, PA and was the son of the late Fred Allen and Edith McWilliams Fetherman. A retired custodian, he was a US Army veteran. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Barbara Lou Dippre Fetherman; two daughters, Cynthia Sue Leshinsky of Stroudsburg, PA and Melissa Anne Garry of Hertford; a son, Joseph Eugene Fetherman, Jr. of Canadensis, PA; a sister, Carol Daily of Newton, NJ; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. At his request, no services will be held. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
