Virginia Craddock Hollowell

Virginia Craddock Hollowell, 94, formerly of 121 Morris Circle, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation, Hertford. Mrs. Hollowell was born in Washington County, NC and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Craddock. Formerly employed as a waitress at The Triangle Restaurant, and as a clerk with The Elliott Company, both in Edenton, she was a member of Edenton Baptist Church and later Albemarle Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Earl Hollowell, Sr., and by a son, Charles Hugh Hollowell. Surviving are a son, Herbert Earl Hollowell, Jr. and his wife Vickie of Edenton and their children, Earl Hollowell and fiancée Danielle Thornbury and Heather Harris and husband Josh. Also surviving are her son Charles' children, Chuck and Melanie and their families. Friends may join the family Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. A private burial will be held Friday in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
