Dollie Peede

Dollie Peede, 76, of 1164 County Line Road, Belvidere, NC, died Friday, June 1, 2012 in her home. Ms. Peede was born in Florence County, SC and was the daughter of the late Willard and Ethel Morris Matthews. A homemaker, she had attended Piney Woods Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, William Thomas Bateman and Michael Lewis Peede, and a brother, William Matthews. Surviving are her son, Danford "Danny: Peede and wife Linda Lou of Belvidere; three sisters, Betty, Helen, and Mariam; two brothers, Dick and Gene; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Melody, Danielle, Jamie, Braxton, Chase, and Alicia; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Bryce, and Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by Pastor Frank Carter. Burial will follow in the Chappell Family Cemetery, County Line Road, Belvidere. Friends may join the family Saturday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at the home of her son, Danny Peede, 1170 County Line Road, Belvidere.
