Stuart Marshall Anderson

Stuart Marshall Anderson, 86, of 1245 New Hope Road, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in his home. Mr. Anderson was born in Eveleth, MN and was the son of the late Albert A. Anderson and Lillian Joupala Carlson. Employed for many years as a consultant with U.S.A.I.D., he had also served as Vice President with the former Don Juan Manufacturing Company in Hertford. He was a member of Community Lutheran Church in Escondido, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Jenkins, and a sister, Dorothy Vito. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Kathleen Byrum Anderson; a daughter, Tami Frenduto of Durham; two sons, Scott Anderson of Charlotte and Sheldon Anderson of Boone; three step-sons, Russ Chappell of Elizabeth City, Roger Chappell of Hertford, and Rodney Chappell of Montana; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service and all other times at the residence.
