Shelby Hardy Wilkinson

Shelby Hardy Wilkinson, 43, of 84 Whitehurst Road, Gates, NC, died Monday, July 2, 2012 in Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, VA. Shelby was born in Columbus, GA, was the daughter of Joan Lee Hardy of Salem, AL and Joe Hardy of Norfolk, VA, and the wife of Mike Wilkinson of Gates. A homemaker, she was a member of the Gates Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her daughter, Patsy Rose Green of Eure; her son, J. Wesley Rodgers of Gates; her sister, Mandy Hardy of Suffolk, VA; her brother, Marshall Hardy of Salem, AL; and her grandson, Ayden Cole Green. A memorial service will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service, and all other times at the residence.
