Omah Eure Harrell, 79, of Corner High Road, Eure, NC, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Ahoskie. Mrs. Harrell was born in Gates County and was the daughter of the late Quinton Robert, Jr. and Sallie Early Eure. Retired from the Gates County Soil and Water Conservation, she was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church where she served as the organist for many years, was a member of the Gates County Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star for nearly 60 years and was a Shrinette. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindy P. Harrell, Sr.; two brothers, Stephen and Leslie Eure; and a sister, Maggie Tinkham. Surviving are her two sons, Lindy P. "Lynn" Harrell, Jr. and wife Norma of Eure and Bill Harrell of Eure and his friend Dottie of Ahoskie; two sisters, Garnett Hudgins of Eure and Bobbie Cowan of Suffolk, VA; a brother, Andrew Eure of Williamston; three grandchildren, Angela Parker and husband Drake and Chad and Brooke Harrell; and two great-grandchildren, Ally and Jared Parker. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Revs. Roger Kiker, Wayne Proctor, and Gilbert Crawford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the graveside service on Saturday and all other times at the home of either of her sons, Lynn Harrell, 156 Corner High Road and Bill Harrell, 315 Sandbanks Road, both in Eure.
