James Raleigh "Jimmy" Tynch, Jr., 60, of 224 Tynch Town Road, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 in Vidant Chowan Hospital. Mr. Tynch was born in Chowan County and was the son of Lillian Bunch Tynch of Edenton and the late James R. Tynch, Sr. A heavy equipment operator with Domtar, (formerly Weyerhauser) in Plymouth for over 39 years, he was a member of both Rocky Hock Baptist Church and Operator Engineer Union #415. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Charlene Ralph Tynch; a daughter, Jenny Coppersmith and husband Jeff of Elizabeth City; two sons, J.R. Tynch, III and Josh Tynch, both of Edenton; two sisters, Ruth Barnes of Edenton and Elizabeth McRae of California; three brothers, Timmie Martin Tynch and wife Karen of Edenton, John Tynch and wife Ethel of Georgetown, SC, and Dan Dillenger and wife Lisa of Greensboro; and two granddaughters, Kayelee and Lilly. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church by Dr. James Horton. A private burial will follow in the Tynch Family Cemetery.
