Laney Nolasco

Laney Nolasco, 12, of 298 Horseshoe Road, South Mills, NC, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City. Laney was born in Onslow County and was the daughter of Winston Geovanny and Fancy Figueroa Nolasco. She had recently finished sixth grade at Camden Intermediate School, was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and loved singing, playing tennis and the piano. In addition to her parents she is survived by two sisters, Kiana and Melanie; maternal grandparents, Altagracia Ramirez and Jose F. Figueroa; paternal grandparents, Mildred Estrella and Juan Nolasco; and several aunts, uncles and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 117 Main Street, South Mills, by the Rev. Frank Thigpen. Friends may join the family in the church on Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is handling arrangements.
