Myrtis Laster Badger, of 1341 Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, her 97th birthday. Mrs. Badger was born in Coal Hill, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Levi Bradley and Gula Virginia McSwain Laster. A member of the Coal Hill Church of Christ and the Kansas City, MO Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star, she had worked in food service with Kansas City Public School System and later owned and operated a dress shop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Aaron Badger. Surviving are her son, Jim Badger and wife Martha of Edenton; two grandsons, Christopher Badger and wife Chrissi and Scott Badger and wife Christy; and two great-grandchildren, Jamie and Hailey. Graveside services will be held later in the week in the Shregley Cemetery in Coal Hill. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with local arrangements.
