Glenn Albert Crowell, Sr.

Glenn Albert Crowell, Sr., 83, of 922 N. Broad Street, Edenton, NC, died Monday, August 27, 2012 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. Mr. Crowell was born in Mt. Carmel, PA and was the son of the late Albert Allen and Isabel Elizabeth Yarnall Crowell. A retired dispatcher with CILCO Terminal in Bridgeport, CT, he had served in the National Guard and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and The Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Patrina Giordanella Crowell; two daughters, Tina Crowell Moccio of Ansonia, CT and Maria Crowell of Bridgeport; two sons, Glenn A. Crowell, Jr. and wife Catherine of Stratford, CT and Albert Allen Crowell and wife Elizabeth of Bridgeport; a sister, Elizabeth Frappier of Belgrade, ME; 10 grandchildren, Andrea, Erica, Joseph, Teresa, Patrina, Michael, III, Anthony, Charles, III, Brian, and Lisa; 10 great-grandchildren, Stefani, Quentin, Avante, Nytreece, Samantha, Mekenzie, Alexis, Gavin, April, and Lee; two great-great-grandchildren, Giana and Adelynn; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in St. Anne Catholic Hall-Church by The Rev. William L. Pitts. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
