Eleanor Harrell Partin, 90, formerly of West Queen Street, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Washington County Hospital, Plymouth. Mrs. Partin was born in Chowan County and was the daughter of the late Will and Pearl Byrum Harrell. Retired after more than 25 years with the Chowan County Soil Conservation Service, she later retired as a secretary with Edenton Baptist Church, where she was a member of both it and the Mary Bethany Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lyman Partin, Sr., a sister, Emma Bunch, and brothers, Jesse and Earl Harrell. Surviving are four sons and their wives, Lyman and Jane Partin of Beaufort, and Al and Lynn Partin, Mike and Denise Partin, and Bob and Jackie Partin, all of Edenton; seven grandchildren, Lara Hollberg and husband Pete, Cooper Partin and wife Molly, and Kristy, Susan, R.H. and wife Ashley, Meredith, and Michael Partin. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Edenton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Brooks and the Rev. Kelly Rhodes. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
