Timothy William Titus, Jr.

Timothy William "Tim" Titus, Jr., 50, of 424 Mexico Road, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill. Tim was born in Chowan County and was the son of Dorothy Spruill "Dot" Titus of Edenton. A 20 year employee of Colony Tire Corp., he was the manager of their Re-Tread Plant, and was a member of the Edward G. Bond Post #40 of The American Legion. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Titus Barnes. Surviving in addition to his mother is his long-time friend and companion, Deborah Ann Urick, and their son, Cody Timothy Titus, both of Edenton; his sister, Sandra Titus Pace of Fayetteville; his brother-in-law, Billy Barnes of Edenton; three nieces, Kristy Reed, Caitlin Barnes, and Kenley Swain; a nephew, Chase Barnes; and a great-niece, Emma Barnes. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
