Patricia Sorey West

Patricia Sorey West, 60, of 128 Crabtree Trail, Point Harbor, NC, and formerly of Gates, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 in her home. Ms. West was born in Norfolk, VA and was the daughter of the late James Marvin, Sr. and Cinda Lee Johnson Sorey. A cosmetologist, she was the owner and operator of Gates Hair Salon. Surviving are her former husband, Percy Graham West, Jr. of Gates; her daughter, Pamala-Faye West Smith and husband Shannon of Troutville, VA; her son, Percy Graham West, III and wife Stacy of Hertford; a brother, James Marvin Sorey, Jr. and wife Rose of Moyock; a sister, Peggy Sorey Roberson of Moyock; and eight grandchildren, Alli and David Smith, Makayla West, Taylor Jennings, Kathryn Ziegler and husband Nick, and Michael, Cameron, and Megan Davis. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Moyock Baptist Church. Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the service.
