Glenn Ferrier

Glenn Ferrier, 57, of the 1700 block of Middle Swamp Road, Corapeake, NC, died Friday, October 19, 2012 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA. Mr. Ferrier was born in Portsmouth, VA and was the son of the late Thomas Thompson, III and Marjorie Ella Griffith Ferrier. Retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he was a Methodist by faith. Surviving are his wife of 7 years, Mary Kathryn Garman Ferrier; a sister, LeeAnne Mallory of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Thomas Thompson Ferrier, III and wife Barbara of Charlottesville, VA; two nieces, Reahna of Chesapeake and Elizabeth of Charlottesville; a nephew, Tommy of Charlottesville; a great-niece, Mariah of Chesapeake; and his faithful canine, Jumping Dutchess and cat, Nipper. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Parker's United Methodist Church by the Rev. Mike Askew. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Parker's United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 1260 NC 32 N., Corapeake, NC 27926.
