Pamela Sykes Beals

Pamela Sykes Beals, 54, of 199 Fir Street, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in her home. Mrs. Beals was born in Norfolk, VA and was the daughter of Colon Sykes, Sr. and the late Clara Smith Sykes. A homemaker, she attended Snug Harbor Community Church. In addition to her father she is survived by her husband, Randy I. Beals; her daughter, Carrie Iona Beals of Hertford; her son, Matthew P. Sykes of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Wanda Stroud of Elizabeth City and Cheryl Benson of Plymouth; and two brothers, Donald Sykes and Colon Sykes, Jr., both of Chesapeake. A memorial service, arranged by the family, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Snug Harbor Community Church by the Rev. Howard Sutton. Friends may join the family at the residence.
