Larry Brooks Pierce, Sr.

Larry Brooks Pierce, Sr., 56, of 011 Bank Street, Sunbury, NC, died Friday, November 2, 2012 in his home. Mr. Pierce was born in Gates County and was the son of the late Andrew Hollowell and Crenolia White Pierce. A retired auto body paint technician, he enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Berry Pierce. Surviving are three daughters, Brandy Pierce of Edenton, Cori Stone of South Mills and Casey Woolard of Elizabeth City; two sons, Larry Pierce, Jr. and Jason Jones, both of Sunbury; and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Dylan, Austin, Devin, Taylor, Caleb and Brooke. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. Friends may join the family in the funeral home following the service.
