Daniel Lesile Waff

Daniel Leslie "Danny" Waff, 60, of Chester, VA, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012. Mr. Waff, a native of Chowan County, NC was the son of the late John and Marie Ferguson Waff. He was a dedicated employee of Port of Richmond as a crane operator for 30 years. Surviving are his loving wife, Joan H. Waff; children, Eric D. Waff (Denise), Susie Waff Nesmith (Michael), and Kenny R. Waff; grandchildren, Trenton, Xander, Bryson and Hunter; sisters and brothers, Emma Hughes, Carolyn Clark (David), Johnny Waff, IV (Shirley), Chris Bethune (Ricky), Perry Waff (Mary), and Janet Hargrove (Bob); and his step-mother, Doris Waff. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Waff Family Cemetery, W. Queen St., Extd., Edenton, NC and will be officiated by the Rev. Steve Mizell. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, is assisting the family with those arangements.
