Donald Allan Evans

Donald Allan Evans, 63, of 780 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. Mr. Evans was born in Luzerne County, PA and was the son of the late Lincoln and Minney Phillips Evans. A retired technician from Lucent Technologies after 30 years of employment, he had a great love for animals and especially enjoyed caring for his pets. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Annette MacDonald Evans. Surviving are his son, Rick Evans and wife Nicole of Nutley, NJ; a sister, Roselyn Sorrentino of Jersey City, NJ; a brother, David Evans of Bloomfield, NJ; and two grandchildren. At his request, no services will be held. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Mains Street, Gatesville, NC is assisting the family with arrangements.
