Patricia Campbell Nixon

Patricia Campbell "Patty" Nixon, 54, of 308 Flathead Trail, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. Mrs. Nixon was born in Pasquotank County and was the daughter of Robert Frank Campbell of Ocala, FL and the late Christa McCoy White. A former cashier with Wal-Mart of Elizabeth City, she had also worked as a carrier with the Virginian-Pilot, and attended Rocky Hock Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, James C. "Jimmy" Nixon; three daughters, Danae Yount and husband Jimmy of Hobbsville, Mary Sawyer Spruill and husband Fred of Monroe, and Nancy Byrum and husband James of Franklin, VA; two sons, Steven Ray Nixon and wife Ashley of Belvidere and Michael Nixon and wife Suzie of Texas; a sister, Phyllis Ries of Chesapeake; two brothers, Dwight White of St. Petersburg, FL and Eddie White and wife Sharon of Elizabeth City; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church by Dr. James Horton. Burial will follow in the Nixon Family Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
