Dorothy Mahlman O'Connell

Dorothy Mahlman O'Connell, 76, of 407 Hariot Dr. Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Albemarle Hospital. Ms. O'Connell was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Mahlman. A homemaker, she also volunteered at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two sisters, June Stumm and Karen Skwera. Surviving are her son, Kevin P. O'Connell of Aydlett; grandchildren, Corey, Michelle, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Madison and Arya; and nephews, Keith and Bob Stumm. A memorial service will be held by the family on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at her home on Hariot Drive.
