Robert Wesley Mize, Jr.

Robert Wesley "Bob" Mize, Jr., 61, of 114 Nancy Drive, Elizabeh City, NC, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Mize was born in Caruthersville, MO and was the son of the late Robert W., Sr. and Bessie Marie Huffman Mize. Employed in logistics with TCOM LP, he was a member of Up River Friends Meeting. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Dianne Baker Mize; a sister, Delores Stewart of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Ricky Mize, Sr. and companion Linda Krause of Hertford; his father-in-law, Lester Baker and wife Carolyn of Hertford; his brother-in-law, Julian Baker and wife Connie of Belvidere; nieces, Nicole Barton, Toni Roughton, Heather Henderschot, Kim Stewart, and Debbie McWilliams; nephews, Charles Baker, Chris Baker, Ricky Mize, Jr., Chris Mize, and Bill Stewart; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 27th, at 11:00 a.m. in Up River Friends Meeting by Pastor Richard Wilcox. Burial will follow in Up River Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and all other times at the residence. Flowers are welcomed or contributions in his memory may be made to Up River Friends Building Fund, 523 Up River Road, Belvidere, NC 27919.
