America Caballero Robertson

America Caballero Robertson, 93, of 307 W. Railroad Ave., Hertford, NC, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Winslow Memorial Home, Elizabeth City. Mrs. Robertson was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A Catholic by faith, she was a retired presser from Don Juan Manufacturing in Hertford. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Martin Robertson, by a sister, Nadine, and by a grandson, Clay. Surviving are two daughters, Wilma Harrell (Casey) of Elizabeth City and Debbie Harrell (William) of Hertford; a son, Fernando Millard "Buddy" Robertson of New Bern; two brothers, Martin Caballero of San Juan and Louie Caballero of New York; six grandchildren, Melissa, Shannon, Tony, Michael, Crystal, and Jason; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Glenn Greenway. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. Friends may join the family Saturday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at William and Debbie's home, 108 Ililda Drive, Hertford.
