Barry Neil Jackson, 41, of 105 Crestwood Lane, Edenton, NC, died Friday, January 11, 2013 in Vidant Chowan Hospital. Barry was born in Beaufort County and was the son of Betty Bearfield Jackson of Columbia and the late William "Billy" Jackson. Assistant Service Mananger at Edenton Motors for the past nine years, in his leisure time he coached basketball, Little League, T-Ball, and Coach Pitch Ball, and also played in the Adult Softball League with the Chowan Recreation Dept. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of nearly 11 years, Keri Hargrove Jackson; his son, Jordan Robert Jackson; his daughter, Riley Elizabeth Jackson; three sisters, Billie Jo Jackson of Virginia, Stephanie Jackson of Creswell, and Amanda Brantley of Wilson; and two brothers, Scott Jackson of Columbia and Richard "Heath" Jackson of Kill Devil Hills. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by the Rev. Robert Hargrove. Burial will follow in the Waff Family Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be to a fund being established to benefit his children at the Edenton branch of the State Employees Credit Union, P.O. Box 448, Edenton, NC 27932.
