Eula Mae Williams Watson, 85, of 1547 N. Broad Street, Edenton, NC, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Watson was born in Wilson County and was the daughter of the late Melvin A. and Sudie Anna Lewis Williams. A homemaker, she had also formerly been employed with United Piece & Dye Works, Apricot Garment Factory, and Jeff White's Grocery. She was a member of Williams Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Watson. Surviving are five daughters, Melba Overton and husband Clyde of Hertford, Fae Rogers of Edenton and Mae Rogers of Tarboro, Louise McClenney and husband Tom of Merry Hill and Frances Miller and husband Ray of Williamston; a step-daughter, Delores Bennett of Cummings, GA; two step-sons, Roy Watson and Kenny Watson, both of Edenton; three sisters, Shelby Owens of Columbia, Janice Smith of Roper, and Ruth Styons of Plymouth; a brother, Earl Ambrose of Roper; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, by Elder Johnny Ray Gardner. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at the home of her daughter, Louise, 2023 Hwy 17 N, Merry Hill.
