Edna Belle Perry Stallings

Edna Belle Perry Stallings, 94, formerly of Center Hill Highway, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Edenton Primetime. Mrs. Stallings was born January 28, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Raymond, Sr. and Hattie Belle Perry Rogerson. A retired seamstress with both Don Juan Manufacturing and Supak, she was a member of Anderson United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph Alton Stallings; her daughter, Doris S. Boyce; her son-in-law, Haywood Boyce; and brothers, James Elwood Perry and Joseph Wilson Rogerson. Surviving are her daughter, Mae S. Carr and husband John of Washington, NC; two sons, Alton Ray Stallings and wife Ann of Merry Hill and Jimmy E. Stallings and wife Pamela of Edenton; a brother, Raymond Rogerson, Jr. and wife Joy of Tampa, FL; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Edenton United Methodist Church by the Rev. Christopher Aydlett and the Rev. Warren Stackhouse. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Hertford. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and all other times at the home of Jimmy and Pamela Stallings, 513 Kimberly Drive, Edenton.
