Thomas Eugene Woolridge, 47, of 121 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in his home. Thomas was born in Oneida County, NY and was the son of Melvin Edward "Doc" Woolridge of Constantia, NY and the late Margaret Ray Woolridge. An entrepreneur, he owned and operated A Penny Saved Thrift in Whaleyville, VA and had also been employed as a marine machinery mechanic for many years. Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 20 years, Debbie Dixon Woolridge; two sons, Michael Delveaux of Virginia Beach, VA and Matthew Delveaux of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Patty and Sandy, and two brothers, Wayne and William, all of Oswego County, NY; and nephew, James, whom is currently residing at the home, and many other loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, NC, by the Rev. Gene Asbill. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service on Tuesday.
