Marie Williams Jennings Stallings

Marie Williams Jennings Stallings, 89, formerly of Creek Road, Elizabeth City, NC, and more recently of Heritage Care, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Mrs. Stallings was the daughter of the late Edward and Addie Key Williams. A homemaker, she had a deep love for all her family which often led her to open her home to other family members who needed a place to live, and she also enjoyed many activities like crocheting, gardening and cooking. She was a member of Pearl Street Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman Jennings and Marshall Stallings; three brothers, Gaither, Lloyd, and Carlice; and a special sister-in-law, Annie. Surviving are her two daughters, Barbara (Greg) and Brenda (Chris); two sisters, Agnes and Ann; a brother, Charlie; grandchildren, Allen (Calley), Christopher (Kim), Ryan and Nicole; and many extended family members and friends. Private graveside services will be held in New Hollywood Cemetery. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, NC, is assisting the family with arrangements.
