John Lee Raulerson, Sr.

John Lee Raulerson, Sr., 77, of 35 Sunbury Bank Street, Sunbury, NC, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 in his home. Mr. Raulerson was born in Fort Myers, FL and was the son of the late Charles Leo, Sr. and Laura Ruth Parker Raulerson. A retired driver with Gordon Paper Company in Virginia Beach, he was a member of the Ahoskie Branch, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are his wife, Hope Ives Raulerson; five daughters, Teresa Kensey of Moyock, Laura Casper and husband Greg of Gates, Brenda Bryant, and Debra Riggs and husband Tracey, all of Elizabeth City, and Grace Raulerson of Sunbury; two sons, William "Billy" Emerson and wife Susan of Dahlonega, GA and John Lee Raulerson, Jr. of Sunbury; a sister, Doris Pratt of Chesapeake, VA; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. Burial will follow in the Casper Family Cemetery in Eure.
