Carrie Elaine Jordan

Carrie Elaine Jordan, 86, of 214 Hawthorne Road, Edenton, NC, died Monday, February 18, 2013 in Vidant Chowan Hospital. Miss Jordan was born in Gates County and was the daughter of the late Eley and Verna Lane Jordan. A retired waitress, she worked for many years at "Mr. Dog", a Norfolk, VA, restaurant and grill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Neola J. Futrell and Leona J. Winslow; and by brothers, Samuel Maurice Jordan and William Horace Jordan. Surviving are her brother, Larry M. Jordan and wife Carolyn of Gates; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, by the Rev. Michael Brinkley. Burial will follow in the Gatesville Cemetery.
