Panagiotis Diakostamatis

Panagiotis Diakostamatis, 69, of 248 Clark Street, Hertford, NC, passed away, Monday, March 4, 2013 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. Mr. Diakostamatis was born in Piraeus, Greece and was the son of the late Anargiros and Glorgia Diakostamatis. A retired commercial fisherman and painter, he was Greek Orthodox by faith and was a veteran of the Greek Army. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Delta Ramey Diakostamatis; a son, Nathaniel Diakostamatis and fiancée Zacarriah Collins of Hertford; and two sisters, Evontheia Drivas and Bella Karadima, both of Greece. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery by the Rev.
