Eula Winfree Williams

Eula Winfree Williams, 96, formerly of Hertford, NC, and more recently of Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Williams was born in Nash County and was the daughter of the late William Oscar and Martha Ann Johnson Winfree. A homemaker, she was a member of Snug Harbor Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Williams, Sr., a sister, and two brothers. Surviving are her daughter, Martha Sandra Alvaran and husband Sam of Ellicott City, MD; a son, Frank A. Williams, Jr. and wife Betty J. of Hertford; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by the Rev. Stanley Nixon.
