Lee White Chory

Ida Lee White Chory, 86, of 700 Pennsylvania Ave., Hertford, NC, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in her home. Mrs. Chory was born in Perquimans County and was the daughter of the late Lawrence White and Edla Webb. A homemaker, she was a member of Hertford United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wirth Fenton Chory, and by a grandson. Surviving are her two daughters, Nancy Lynn Chory Fletcher of Hertford and Charyl Edla Chory of Hawaii; a son, Wirth "Buzz" Chory of Hertford; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A gathering celebrating her life will be held Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at her home. Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
