Barbara White Stillman

Barbara White Stillman, 74, of 212 Tynch Town Road, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, in her home. Mrs. Stillman was born in Chowan County and was the daughter of the late Watson B. and Isa Bunch White. A retired bookkeeper from Albemarle Motor Company after 37 years of employment, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Stillman; sisters, Betty Hardin, Evelyn Parker, and Mary Long; and by brothers, Louis White, Watson Earl White, Wallace B. "Cowboy" White, and the Rev. Robert White. Surviving are two sons, Dean Skinner and wife Pam, and Carroll Skinner and wife Ginger, all of Edenton; and a sister, Clara Perry of Hertford. Also surviving are C.J.'s daughter, Vonnie Brown and husband Michael of Hertford. Together, C.J. and Barbara shared six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. A private burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery at a later date. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service, and all other times at the residence.
